The Global University Network Meeting for Excellence in Research and Education in Japan and France was held on October 3, 2016, and attended by the presidents and directors of the University of Bordeaux, the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), the University of Strasbourg, Aix-Marseille University, the National Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM), Institute Pasteur, and the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Research in France, and Kyoto University, the University of Tsukuba, and RIKEN in Japan. The delegates shared their ideas and experience about research and education programs and discussed the potential development of academic collaboration and student exchange between Japan and France.
