President Juichi Yamagiwa of Kyoto University met with Dr. Jernej Pikalo, deputy prime minister of Slovenia on October 6, 2019. Dr. Pikalo was visiting Japan to attend the 16th Annual Meeting of the Science and Technology in Society (STS) forum at the Kyoto International Conference Center. During the meeting they discussed the potential development of academic collaboration between Kyoto University and Slovenia.
