Memorandum for Academic Cooperation and Exchange concluded with University of Ghana (March 3, 2017)

A signing ceremony to conclude an academic cooperation and exchange agreement between Kyoto University and the University of Ghana was held in the President’s Meeting Room of Kyoto University on March 3, 2017.The ceremony was attended by President Juichi Yamagiwa of Kyoto University, Prof. Kayo Inaba, executive vice-president for gender equality, international affairs, and public relations, Prof. Masayoshi Shigeta, assistant to the executive vice-president for international affairs, Prof. Yukari Mitsuhasi, vice-director of the International Strategy Office, Prof. Miho Murayama of the Wildlife Research Center, and a delegation from the University of Ghana consisting of Vice-Chancellor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu and Prof. Boniface B. Kayang of the Department of Animal Science, College of Basic and Applied Sciences.

The memorandum is anticipated to significantly advance collaboration between the two universities, including existing joint research projects by Kyoto University’s Wildlife Research Center and Graduate School of Asian and African Area Studies, and also deepen academic exchange between Ghana and Japan.
