On June 17, 2022, a delegation headed by H.E. Mr. Jose C. Laurel V, ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to Japan, visited Kyoto University. They met with President Nagahiro Minato, Prof. Kyoko Inagaki (executive vice-president for gender equality, international affairs and external affairs), Prof. Yasuyuki Kono (vice-president for international strategy), and Prof. Fumiharu Mieno (director of the center for southeast Asian Studies) to discuss the development of Kyoto University’s academic and research collaboration with institutions in Philippines.
