On February 3, 2025, a delegation from the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, headed by Director B. S. Murty visited Kyoto University. They met with President Nagahiro Minato, Prof. Tetsuo Sawaragi (executive vice-president for research ethics, integrity, code of conduct, and international affairs), Prof. Kokubu Hiroshi (executive vice-president for education, student affairs, and admissions), and Prof. Yasuyuki Kono (vice-president for international strategy) to discuss the further development of education and research collaboration.
In addition, a signing ceremony was held to conclude a student exchange agreement between the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad and Kyoto University. It is anticipated that the agreement will promote further student exchange between the two universities.
