On April 17, 2025, Mr. Tokuro Furuya, consul-general of Japan in Melbourne, visited Kyoto University. He met with President Nagahiro Minato, Prof. Susumu Kitagawa (executive vice-president for research promotion), Prof. Tetsuo Sawaragi (executive vice-president for research ethics, integrity, code of conduct, and international affairs), Prof. Fuyuki Ishikawa (vice-president and deputy director-general for the office of research acceleration), and Prof. Takashi Sekiyama of the Division of Graduate Studies to discuss the further development of Kyoto University’s academic and research collaboration with institutions in Melbourne.
