A delegation from Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education, led by YB Dato’ Seri Idris bin Jusoh, minister of higher education, visited Kyoto University on December 17, 2015. They met with Prof. Kayo Inaba, executive vice-president for gender equality, international affairs, and public relations, Prof. Kaoru Takara, director of the Disaster Prevention Research Institute, Prof. Shigeo Fuji, dean of the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies, Prof. Yasuyuki Kono, director of the Center for Southeast Asian Studies, Prof. Shinzaburo Ito, dean of the Graduate School of Engineering, and Prof. Yoshihisa Shimizu of the Graduate School of Engineering. During the meeting, the participants exchanged information and ideas for the further development of research collaboration between Kyoto University and Malaysia.
