Memorandum for Academic Cooperation and Exchange concluded with ENS Paris-Saclay (May 18, 2017)

A signing ceremony to conclude an academic cooperation and exchange agreement between Kyoto University and École Normale Supérieure de Paris-Saclay (ENS Paris-Saclay) (formerly ENS Cachan) was held at Kyoto University’s Clock Tower Centennial Hall on May 18, 2017.

École Normale Supérieure (ENS) is a French grandes école, a specialized higher education institution. ENS Paris-Saclay focuses on the fields of science, engineering, and social sciences and the humanities.

Kyoto University and ENS Paris-Saclay are engaged in research cooperation in the fields of engineering, economics, and the humanities. The memorandum is anticipated to further advance their interdisciplinary research collaboration and educational exchange.

ENS Paris Saclay is a member of Université Paris-Saclay, a group of nineteen universities and research institutions which was established in 2014. Prof. Keitaro Nakatani, vice-president for research of ENS Paris-Saclay and President Gilles Bloch of Université Paris-Saclay visited Kyoto University to attend the signing ceremony.
