President Takehiko Nakao of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) visited Kyoto University on May 23, 2017 to attend a symposium on environmental engineering held by the university’s Graduate School of Engineering. During his visit, he met with President Juichi Yamagiwa and Prof. Shinsuke Kawazoe, executive vice-president for student affairs and library services, to discuss Japanese higher education. Afterwards, President Nakao met a group of international students who are studying at Kyoto University through the ADB-Japan Scholarship Program.
