A delegation from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), headed by Ms. Marcela Villarreal, director of the FAO’s office for partnerships, advocacy and capacity, visited Kyoto University on June 12, 2017. They met with Dr. Kayo Inaba, Kyoto University’s executive vice-president for gender equality, international affairs, and public relations to discuss the potential development of cooperation between Kyoto University and FAO.
Afterwards, they attended an international symposium on the Impact of Climate Change on Food and Agriculture, which was held to commemorate the first anniversary of the conclusion of a memorandum of understanding for academic cooperation and exchange between the two institutions.
