Ambassador of Ethiopia to Japan visits Kyoto University (July 6, 2017)

H.E. Mr. Cham Ugala Uriat, ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Japan, and Mr. Yoshiaki Kobayashi, honorary consul of the Honorary Consulate of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in Osaka, visited Kyoto University on July 6, 2017. They met with President Juichi Yamagiwa, Dr. Kayo Inaba, executive vice-president for gender equality, international affairs, and public relations, and Prof. Masayoshi Shigeta, assistant to the executive vice-president for international affairs, to discuss the potential development of collaboration between Ethiopia and Kyoto University.

On July 7, H.E. Mr. Cham Ugala Uriat gave a lecture titled “Diplomatic, Political and Economic Relationship of Ethiopia and Japan” at the 69th Kyoto University African Studies Seminar cosponsored by the Interdisciplinary Unit for African Studies and the Center for African Area Studies.
