Delegation from the European Union to Japan visits Kyoto University (June 14, 2019)

Dr. Gediminas Ramanauskas, first counsellor and head of science, innovation, digital, and other EU policies of the Delegation of the European Union to Japan, and nine other delegates from different European countries visited Kyoto University on June 14, 2019. They met with Prof. Yasuyuki Kono, vice-president for international strategy, and Prof. Yoshimasa Nakamura, dean of the Graduate School of Informatics. After discussing projects to strengthen AI research between Japan, Germany, and France, the discussions focused on the further development of research and academic cooperation between Kyoto University and institutions in the EU.
