Delegates from the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and Thirteen Vietnamese Universities visit Kyoto University (July 24, 2019)

A delegation consisting of presidents, chancellors, and vice-presidents from thirteen Vietnamese universities and members of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam visited Kyoto University on July 24, 2019. They met with Prof. Nagahiro Minato, provost and executive vice-president for strategy coordination, research, planning, and hospital administration, Prof. Yasuyuki Kono, vice-president for international strategy, Dr. Muneo Takatani, senior adviser for international affairs in the Office of Society-Academia Collaboration for Innovation, and several faculty members involved in academic collaboration with Vietnamese partners. The delegation was first presented with an overview of Kyoto University’s industry-academia cooperation initiatives, the activities of its ASEAN Center, and its educational programs in Vietnam. Following the overview, the delegates discussed the further development of research and education collaboration between Kyoto University and its Vietnamese partners.
