On December 6, 2021, a delegation headed by H.E. Dr. Clemens von Goetze, ambassador of Germany in Japan visited Kyoto University. They met with President Nagahiro Minato, Prof. Kyoko Inagaki (executive vice-president for gender equality, international affairs, public relations, and external affairs), and Prof. Yasuyuki Kono (vice-president for international strategy) to discuss the development of Kyoto University’s academic and research collaboration with institutions in Germany. The delegates also met with Distinguished Prof. Tasuku Honjo (deputy director-general of the Kyoto University Institute for Advanced Study [KUIAS]) and visited the Center for Cancer Immunotherapy and Immunobiology (affiliated with the Graduate School of Medicine), of which Prof. Honjo is the director.
