On March 9, 2022, H.E. Dr. Andreas Baum, the Swiss Ambassador to Japan, and Dr. Felix Moesner, the Consul of Switzerland in Osaka, visited Kyoto University. They met with President Nagahiro Minato, Prof. Kyoko Inagaki (executive vice-president for gender equality, international affairs, public relations, and external affairs), and Prof. Yasuyuki Kono (vice-president for international strategy) to discuss the development of Kyoto University’s academic and research collaboration with institutions in Switzerland. The delegates also visited the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA) and the Graduate school of Agriculture where they met with Prof. Shinya Yamanaka (director of the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application) and researchers, including Prof. Shuhei Nasuda of the Graduate school of Agriculture, who are implementing a joint project with University of Zurich, a strategic partner institution of Kyoto University.
