Ambassador of Italy to Japan visits Kyoto University (May 11, 2022)

On May 11, 2022, a delegation headed by H.E. Mr. Gianluigi Benedetti, ambassador of Italy to Japan visited Kyoto University. Ambassador Benedetti was accompanied by Mr. Marco Prencipe, consul general of Italy in Osaka and Dr. Enrico Traversa, science and technology counsellor of the Embassy of Italy to Japan. The delegation met with President Nagahiro Minato, Prof. Kyoko Inagaki (executive vice-president for gender equality, international affairs and external affairs), Prof. Yasuyuki Kono (vice-president for international strategy), and Prof. Mika Yokoyama (Deputy Executive Vice-President and Director of the European Center) to discuss the development of Kyoto University’s academic and research collaboration with institutions in Italy. The delegates also visited the IFOM-KU Joint-Research Laboratory, the Institution for the Advanced Study of Human Biology (ASHBi), and the Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS).
