A delegation from the European Union to Japan, headed by Dr. Gediminas Ramanauskas, first counsellor and head of the science, innovation, digital and other EU policies section, visited Kyoto University on July 14, 2022. They met with Prof. Yasuyuki Kono, vice-president for international strategy. The discussions focused on the Horizon Europe EU research and innovation framework project (implemented 2021–2027) and the further development of research collaboration between Kyoto University and institutions in the EU.
