On September 15, 2022, a delegation headed by H.E. Mr. Lulama Smuts Ngonyama, ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Japan visited Kyoto University. They met with President Nagahiro Minato and Prof. Akira Takada of the Graduate School of Asian and African Area Studies (ASAFAS) to discuss the development of Kyoto University’s academic and research collaboration with institutions in the Republic of South Africa.
