On March 8, 2023, a delegation headed by Vice President K. H. Ma’ruf Amin of Indonesia visited Kyoto University. After speaking at a forum titled “Religious Dialogue: Indonesia’s Experience in Strengthening Interreligious Dialogue and Moderate Islam to Realize World Peace,” which was held at Kyoto University, Vice President Amin and the Indonesian delegation met with President Nagahiro Minato and Prof. Yasuyuki Kono (vice-president for international strategy) to discuss the development of Kyoto University’s academic collaboration with institutions in Indonesia.
