A delegation from Heidelberg University, headed by its Vice-Rector for International Affairs, Prof. Marc-Philippe Weller, visited Kyoto University on June 8, 2023. The delegation met with Prof. Kyoko Inagaki (executive vice-president for gender equality, international affairs, and external affairs) and Prof. Mika Yokoyama (deputy executive vice-president and director of the European Center).
Kyoto University and Heidelberg University are engaged in diverse forms of collaboration, including the operation of liaison offices on each other’s campuses (the Kyoto University European Center opened in Heidelberg in 2014 and the Heidelberg University Office, Kyoto opened in 2015).
During the meeting, the participants discussed the future development of collaboration between the two universities.
