President Nagahiro Minato met with Dr. Antoine Petit, chairman and CEO of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) on October 1, 2023. Mr. Petit was visiting Japan to attend the 20th Annual Meeting of the Science and Technology in Society (STS) forum at the Kyoto International Conference Center. Prof. Yasuyuki Kono (vice-president for international strategy) and Prof. Mika Yokoyama (deputy executive vice-president and director of the European Center) also joined the meeting, and the delegates discussed the further development of Kyoto University’s research collaboration with institutions in France.
