On October 1, 2023, President Nagahiro Minato of Kyoto University met with a delegation from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) München, headed by its president, Bernd Huber. President Huber was visiting Japan to attend the 20th Annual Meeting of the Science and Technology in Society (STS) forum at the Kyoto International Conference Center. Prof. Yasuyuki Kono (vice-president for international strategy) and Prof. Mika Yokoyama (deputy executive vice-president and director of the European Center) also joined the meeting, and the delegates discussed the development of research collaboration between Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) München and Kyoto University.
