President Nagahiro Minato met with Dr. Igor Papič, minister of higher education, science and innovation and H.E. Mr. Jurij Rifelj, ambassador-designate of the Republic of Slovenia to Japan on October 1, 2023. Minister Papič and Ambassador-Designate Rifelj were visiting Japan to attend the 20th Annual Meeting of the Science and Technology in Society (STS) forum at the Kyoto International Conference Center. Prof. Yasuyuki Kono (vice-president for international strategy) and Prof. Mika Yokoyama (deputy executive vice-president and director of the European Center) also joined the meeting, and the delegates discussed the potential development of academic collaboration between Kyoto University and institutions in Slovenia.
