A delegation of representatives from universities in Tajikistan visited Kyoto University on February 9, 2024. The delegation was headed by Rector Nasriddinzoda Emomali of Tajik National University, and comprised delegates from Tajik State University of Finance and Economics, Tajik Technical University named after academician M. S. Osimi, the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulughzoda, and the President’s Office of the Republic of Tajikistan. The delegates met with Prof. Kyoko Inagaki (executive vice-president for gender equality, international affairs and external affairs), Prof. Kenji Tanaka of the Disaster Prevention Research Institute (participating online), and Associate Prof. Takuya Soma of Hakubi Center to discuss the development of research collaboration and student exchange with universities in Tajikistan.
