H.E. Mr. DABA Debele Hunde, ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Japan, visited Kyoto University on May 30, 2025. H.E. Mr. DABA met with President Nagahiro Minato, Prof. Yasuyuki Kono (vice-president for international strategy), Prof. Akira Takada (deputy director of the Centre for African Area Studies), and Associate Prof. Morie Kaneko of the Graduate School of Asian and African Area Studies to discuss the development of Kyoto University’s academic and research collaboration with institutions in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
