On July 27, 2023, an online meeting was held with Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. The participants from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München were Prof. Hans van Ess (vice-president for research) and Prof. Francesca Biagini (vice-president for international affairs and diversity). The participants from Kyoto University were Prof. Yasuyuki Kono (vice-president for international strategy), Prof. Mika Yokoyama (deputy executive vice-president and director of the European Center) and Ms. Chiyoko Kanno (university research administrator). After providing overviews of global engagement efforts at both universities, the participants discussed student exchange and research collaboration between Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and Kyoto University.
