On February 27, 2024, a delegation from Kyoto University comprising Prof. Kyoko Inagaki (executive vice-president for gender equality, international affairs, and external affairs), Prof. Eiji Nawata (director of the ASEAN Center), Prof. Shigeo Fujii (professor emeritus), and Prof. Izuru Saizen (Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies) visited the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam and met with H.E. Mr. Takio Yamada, the Japanese ambassador to Vietnam, and Ms. Noriko Okamoto, second secretary.
During the meeting, Prof. Inagaki and the other KU delegates provided an overview of the university’s cooperation activities with institutions in the ASEAN region and the activities of KU alumni. They then discussed student exchange and the development of highly skilled human resources in Japan and Vietnam.
