On January 26, 2026, a delegation headed by Executive Vice-President Tetsuo Sawaragi (EVP for research ethics, integrity, code of conduct, and international affairs) and Prof. Eiji Nawata (director, ASEAN Center) visited Nanyang Technological University (NTU). During the visit, the delegates met with Vice-President Lee Pooi See (VP for international engagement) and other NTU staff members. After providing overviews of both universities, the delegates shared information on Kyoto University’s vision for the Japanese government’s Universities for International Research Excellence program. The delegates then discussed the development of research collaboration and student exchange between NTU and Kyoto University.
