The Kyoto University European Center was present at Experience Japan Exhibition in London with it own booth. Over 550 people including students from British universities, Japanese high school students living in London as well as company employees wishing to attain Japanese language skills attended this event.
At the booth Kyoto University European Center staff and Dr. Jane Singer (Kyoto University Graduate School for Global Environmental Studies) provided information on exchange programs. We also delivered a presentation about short-term study opportunities in Japan. The interest in Kyoto University was very big with over 200 people visiting our booth, asking many questions about English taught courses amongst others.
This event was not only an opportunity to distribute information to people interested in Kyoto University, but also gave us insight into individual reasons for studying abroad and what programs and support people need and expect. In order to improve the exchange with European countries, we are eager to provide, but also collect information to improve the support of people wishing to go abroad.
