President Juichi Yamagiwa of Kyoto University has met Prof. Manuel Tunon de Lara, president of the University of Bordeaux on October 5, 2015. President Tunon de Lara was visiting Japan to attend the 12th Annual Meeting of the Science and Technology in Society (STS) forum at the Kyoto International Conference Center. The meeting took place at the Grand Prince Hotel Kyoto, which is located close to the STS forum venue. During the meeting, the two presidents assessed the achievements of the two joint symposia which were held collaboratively by Kyoto University and the University of Bordeaux in 2014 and 2015, and explored various possibilities for future collaboration.
