A delegation from the University of Strasbourg, led by Prof. Catherine Florentz, vice-president for research and doctoral training visited Kyoto University on December 2, 2015. They met with Mr. Takayoshi Seiki, executive vice-president for general affairs and personnel, Prof. Junichi Mori, director-general of the Organization for the Promotion of International Relations (OPIR), Prof. Shigeki Kaji of the Graduate School of Asian and African Area Studies, Prof. Shoji Hirata of the Graduate School of Letters, and Mr. Kimiaki Tsukagami, director of the International Affairs Division. The meeting participants discussed the further development of the long-standing cooperation between the University of Strasbourg and Kyoto University. After the meeting, the Strasbourg delegation met with researchers from several of Kyoto University’s graduate schools and from the Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS).
