A delegation from the University of California, San Diego, headed by Prof. Sandra A. Brown, vice-chancellor for research, visited Kyoto University on July 25, 2016. They met with Dr. Nagahiro Minato, executive vice-president for research, planning, and hospital administration, Prof. Kayo Inaba, executive vice-president for gender equality, international affairs, and public relations, and Prof. Shinsuke Kawazoe, executive vice-president for student affairs and library services. During the meeting, they discussed the potential development of academic collaboration between the two universities in various research fields, such as disaster prevention and digital archiving.
