A signing ceremony to conclude an academic cooperation and exchange agreement between Kyoto University and Yezin Agricultural University was held at Kyoto University’s Clock Tower Centennial Hall on July 11, 2017.

Yezin Agricultural University is the only agricultural university in Myanmar. Kyoto University’s Center for Southeast Asian Studies and Graduate School of Asian and African Area Studies established its Myanmar Field Station at Yezin Agricultural University in 2003. For over a decade, the field station has been facilitating research collaboration and student exchange.

The conclusion of the memorandum is anticipated to further advance collaboration between the two universities, including joint research projects and human resource development.
