A delegation from the University of Hamburg in Germany, headed by President Dieter Lenzen, visited Kyoto University on October 4, 2017. They met with President Juichi Yamagiwa and Dr. Kayo Inaba, executive vice-president for gender equality, international affairs, and public relations. After Hamburg-Kyoto Symposium held in June, 2017, two universities have been developing research collaborations in several fields including polymer chemistry. During the meeting, they discussed further academic cooperation between the two universities.
Afterwards, President Lenzen visited Kyoto University Institute for Advanced Study to meet with Director-General Shigefumi Mori.
