Executive Vice-President Kayo Inaba Attends the 2nd Japanese-German University Vice-Presidents’ Conference of the HeKKSaGOn University Consortium (September 28, 2020)

HeKKSaGOn is a university network composed of six leading research universities from Japan and Germany. The HeKKSaGOn 2nd Japanese-German University Vice-Presidents’ Conference was held online on September 28, 2020. The participants from Kyoto University consisted of Dr. Kayo Inaba, executive vice-president for gender equality, international affairs, and public relations, and seven other staff members.

Now in its second six-year phase, the HeKKSaGOn network is providing three-year support programs to research group projects focusing on one of the following four areas:

  1. Transcultural studies and the transformation of cultural heritage
  2. Data science, digitization, and artificial intelligence
  3. Health, well-being, safe and resilient societies
  4. Engineering molecular systems and bioimaging

At the 2nd Vice-Presidents’ Conference, eight working group projects were selected to receive support from HeKKSaGOn from October 1st 2020 to September 30th 2023.
