EVP Kyoko Inagaki attends RENKEI Steering Committee Meeting (October 7, 2021)

The Steering Committee Meeting of the Japan-UK Research and Education Network for Knowledge Economy Initiatives (RENKEI) was held online on October 7, 2021. The meeting was attended by representatives of RENKEI’s 12 member institutions in Japan and the UK, as well as representatives from the British Council. Prof. Kyoko Inagaki (executive vice-president for gender equality, international affairs, public relations, and external affairs) and Prof. Mika Yokoyama (deputy executive vice-president for gender equality and international affairs and director of the Kyoto University European Center) participated on behalf of Kyoto University.

The agenda of the meeting included the introduction of a co-chair system, whereby chairs from both countries serve as representatives of the consortium, partnership and collaboration with industry, and plans for the event to mark RENKEI’s 10th anniversary in 2022.
