The ASEAN+3 network is a forum for cooperation between the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) University Network (AUN) and universities in the three East Asian nations of China, Japan, and South Korea. The 26th Annual General Meeting of the Association of East Asian Research Universities (AEARU) was held online on November 5, 2021. The Kyoto University participants comprised Prof. Kyoko Inagaki, executive vice-president for gender equality, international affairs, public relations, and external affairs, Associate Prof. Liyou Han of the Institute for Liberal Arts and Sciences, and three staff members from the International Affairs Division.
Under the guidance of the current AEARU chairperson, President Chung-Ming Kuan of National Taiwan University, the meeting included reports of AEARU events held in 2021, activities scheduled for 2022, and a discussion about the association’s financial matters.
