HeKKSaGOn is a university network composed of six leading research universities from Japan and Germany. The HeKKSaGOn 5th Japanese-German University Vice-Presidents’ Conference was held online on April 28, 2023. The participants from Kyoto University consisted of Prof. Kyoko Inagaki (executive vice-president for gender equality, international affairs and external affairs), Prof. Mika Yokoyama (deputy executive vice-president and director of the European Center) and other staff members.
The participants from the six HeKKSaGOn member universities discussed various matters relating to the forthcoming 9th HeKKSaGOn Presidents’ Conference, which is scheduled to be held in September 2023. Matters discussed included the format of the conference and the contents of the joint statement, which is issued after each Presidents’ Conference.
