HeKKSaGOn Alliance German Universities’ Study Abroad Info Session was held (Kyoto | 29 October 2025)

On 29 October 2025, we held a study abroad information session for Kyoto University students, welcoming representatives from three German universities in the HeKKSaGOn Alliance of Universities: Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, University of Göttingen, and Heidelberg University.

The venue was the newly opened open space called linkhub@ on the 1^st floor of the International Science Innovation Building. Held during the lunch break, the session drew a lively crowd, including students who stopped by to grab lunch from the shop nearby.

Representatives first introduced their universities’ unique features and the appeal of their respective cities using photos and videos. This was followed by presentations from Kyoto University students who had studied at one of these three universities, sharing their firsthand experiences of student life in Germany. Their passion clearly conveyed how much they had enjoyed life in Germany and Europe, not excluding the minor hardships.

This enthusiasm resonated with the attending students. They listened attentively throughout to these presentations and even after that, students formed queues at the booths for the university-specific Q&A sessions. It showed that students seriously considering study abroad had participated, which left all organizers with a strong sense of accomplishment.
