Kyoto University European Center participated in the conference “EAIE 2018” held in Geneva. It is the largest annual international higher education conference in Europe hosted by the European Association for International Education (EAIE).
The conference took place in Palexpo close to the Genve Airport, and 5,700 higher education professionals from 95 countries joined it. Various sessions, workshops, poster exhibitions, and networking events were held there.
At the exhibition hall, universities in each country and region set up their ingenious booths, and they appealed their universities enthusiastically. Kyoto University also established a booth with other Japanese universities in the “Nippon Booth”. We had meetings with staffs from 19 universities from 13 countries; North America, Oceania, Asia, as well as Europe. We discussed about our potential future collaboration and development of existing exchanges. We also gather information on educational trends in each country and region and build new networks.
The next EAIE will be held in Helsinki, Finland.
