From 2023, Kyoto University and Universität Hamburg want to further promote the cooperation within its strategic partnership under the theme “Planetary Health”. To strengthen the cooperation in research and education in topics related to this theme, Kyoto University and Universität Hamburg launched a funding program. This aims to support ECR’s to find complementary research project at the partner university and promote sustainable collaboration and exchange in research with each other.
This program offers up to 4,000 EUR/600,000 JPY per person for the travel expenses to up to 4 ECRs (Early Career Researchers) to facilitate a short-term research stay to Kyoto University or Universität Hamburg.
Persons with any of the following statuses at Kyoto University are eligible to apply for this program:
- Master’s/PhD students
- Researchers who have held a PhD or master’s degree for less than eight year
