On Friday 18th December 2015, there was a meeting in Pathumwan Princess Hotel, Bangkok for the 3rd executive committee meeting “ASEAN University Network and Kyoto University Student Mobility Program toward Human Security Development.” This meeting, there were representative from 5 universities in ASEAN e.g. Institute Teknologi Bandung, University Gadjah Mada, University of Malaya, National University of Singapore and Chulalongkorn University attended.
In the morning Assoc. Prof. Nantana Gajaseni, Executive Director, ASEAN University Network and Prof. Eiji Nawata, Project Leader, Kyoto University, gave the welcome speech for opening address.
This summit consisted of three sessions. The first session is the presentation from each university to consult about their education activities. The second session is about discussion on the development of double degree program and parallel discussion three topics such as Food and Water Resources, Environmental and Energy, and Public Health by grouping the participants to each topic that they interested in. The third session is about the discussion for the future collaboration between Kyoto University and AUN. It was a very fruitful information. The next meeting is scheduled on January 2017.
