The representative from Kyoto University ASEAN Center accompanied with National Diet Library Kansaikan (Asia Information Department), and Library of Center for Southeast Asian Studies, Kyoto University on the visit to Chulalongkorn University’s Library, National Library of Thailand, and Thammasart University’s Library during 24-26 April 2023. The aim of this visit focused on the potential collaborative opportunity among these institutions in the future. In addition, we had a chance to gain insight into each library’s operational process.
On 24 April 2923, Visited Chulalongkorn University’s Library. We had a chance to learn about Chulalongkorn University’s historical background and library. Throughout the visit, the CU library staff demonstrated the accessibility tools for easy access to the various books for the faculty staff, and students.
On 25 April 2023, Visited the National Library of Thailand to learn about the library’s operational process from the past to the present. In this regard, the staff demonstrated their preservation and storage methods for old and vintage books.
On 26 April 2023, Visited Thammasart University Library, TU staff demonstrated the advancement in the electronic system, and resources management using TU Digital Collection, as well as explored the rare book room.
