Kyoto University and Mahidol University co-organising a joint symposium with the title “International Symposium on Global Environmental Studies Education and Research in Asia” at Mahidol University, Salaya Campus on 13 -15 November 2016.
This symposium aimed to share the information on educational collaboration with Kyoto University’s partner university in Asian and Western countries which focusing on master degree course for double degree programs. Kyoto University had started a research exchange program with the support of several Asian Universities which aimed to exchange the researchers to develop and expand Global Environmental Studies in the Asian region.
In addition, on 14 November 2016, Prof. Masao Kitano, Executive Vice President for Education, Information Infrastructure, and Evaluation, as the delegate from Kyoto University together with Clin. Prof. Udom Kachintorn, President of Mahidol University held a signing ceremony for jointly double degree at master level for Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies, Kyoto University and Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
In this regard, Dean of graduate school of Global Environmental Studies and Dean of Agriculture from Kyoto University also signed the memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Dean of school of life science and technology, Institut Teknologi Bandung together with Dean of Faculty of Agriculture from Bogor Agricultural University for expanding their collaboration in term of academic activities.
At the same time in the morning, Kyoto University also held the Study at Kyoto University Fair at Mahidol University to distribute the information and introduce Kyoto University and the others graduate schools to students who intend to study at Kyoto University.
