On the 8th March 2019, Kyoto University and Mahidol University co-organized Kyoto University Opening Symposium: On-site Laboratory at Mahidol University for Education and Research Collaboration on Environmental Studies. The establishment of the on-site laboratory aims to collaborate in education and research on environmental studies, students and faculty mobility, as well as develop the international joint degree program for enhancing education knowledge to meet the global needed.
The symposium divided into 3 parts;

2. Symposium
3. Group Work in Individual Disciplines
This symposium is connected to Kyoto University by teleconference system. The president of Mahidol University (Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya) and the Director of Kyoto University (Prof. Nagahiro Minato) gave us addresses about the idea of this program and its future expectations. For group work in individual disciplines, both universities discussed for the future collaboration in terms of faculties and graduate schools level.
