Cambodia-Japan Co-creative Corridor Workshop, Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Okun Chraen!
On 8th and 9th of September, Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI), Cambodia and Kyoto University ASEAN Center staff co-organized “Cambodia-Japan Co-creative Corridor Workshop” in Phnom Penh, to nurture research administrators.

After an opening speech by H.E. Dr. Heng Sokung (Secretary of State), there were presentations on Cambodia’s national policy roadmap and the planning and operation of research funds in Japan.

On the second day, the participants in small groups were invited to plan a concrete project in line with the Cambodian roadmap. Prof. Hideaki Ohgaki (Institute of Advanced Energy, Kyoto University) reviewed each proposal and gave an award to the best one.

About 30 participants coming from different sectors (university, ministry and private companies) apparently enjoyed the discussion in a friendly and motivated manner.
