Kyoto University ASEAN Center attended “IPB & KU International Symposium on Education and Research in Global Environmental Studies in Asia” on Nov 30, – Dec 2, 2018. This Symposium co-organized by Kyoto University and Bogor Agricultural University with the purpose to provide further knowledge and understanding about the Global Environmental Studies from various sources.
IPB & KU International Symposium had shared the most recent international information from the collaborative educational and research project in the fields of Environmental Engineering, Ecotourism Research and practical experience related to the university and industries cooperation. The Symposium consisted of 195 attendees from 9 Asian countries — 161 researchers and students from 19 universities, and 34 representatives of other organizations.
In addition, there were signing ceremonies of extending the MOU on academic cooperation between Kyoto University and Bogor Agricultural University, as well as of establishing a double degree program between Kyoto University and Tsinghua University.
