This year commemorates the 50th anniversary of ASEAN-Japan friendship and cooperation. Since 1973, Kyoto University has welcomed a multitude of international students from Southeast Asian countries and has been a leading academic institute in Southeast Asian studies. How can we further strengthen the ties between ASEAN, Japan, and Kyoto University? We will delve into this topic during a special lecture by ASEAN Secretary-General Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, followed by a discussion with the students.
