On June 21 and 22, 2023, Professor Kyoko Inagaki (Kyoto University’s Executive Vice-President for Gender Equality and International Affairs, and External Affairs) visited our European Center accompanied by other staff members from Kyoto.
The delegation met Professor Judit Arokay (Centre for Asian and Transcultural Studies) and members of Heidelberg University’s UNIFY (Unit for Family, Diversity & Equality). With UNIFY she discussed measures, support, and policies to enable researchers to reach their full potential — independent from their background.
Later, EVP Inagaki had a joyful conversation with Kyoto University’s students from the Joint Degree Master of Arts Program in Transcultural Studies currently studying in Heidelberg. They talked about their research experiences of cultural and academic differences, and their future as international scholars.
