EURAXESS Japan Tour 2016 @ Kyoto (1/29, KURA, Kyoto)

EURAXESS Japan Tour 2016 Kyoto University 29 January

Kyoto University Research Administration Office (KURA) and the EURAXESS Links Japan will jointly organize a seminar for fostering Japan-Europe research collaboration and researcher mobility.
This workshop aims at providing researchers and students at Kyoto University with an up-to-date overview of their opportunities for research cooperation and mobility, particularly through the description of available funding schemes. It aims at drawing a new landscape of the Japan-Europe research collaboration.

In Europe, various types of international funds for promoting joint research and mobility, such as Horizon 2020 or Marie Sklodovska-Curie actions, are widely open for researchers and students. These funds provide wide opportunities for overseas researchers, including Japanese, and encourage them to jump into transnational and cutting-edge research projects.
Japanese researchers being highly expected to be involved towards common projects with European counterparts, the research promotion staff at KURA will also take the opportunity of this event to develop the support system for teaming, funding, and sustainable management of the research team in the frame of Europe-Japan relations.

In this seminar, lectures by European experts on the research and educational programmes as well as support actions available in Japan; and the presentations on Kyoto University?s recent challenges toward international cooperation with Europe will be given. This seminar will also provide the opportunities for researchers, students and administrative staff to share and exchange knowledge and personal views, through feedback sessions and via the networking reception.
